30th Birthday - Vegas style!!!
Well, Yes, I turned 30!!! And my sweet and wonderful husband told me that I only turn 30 once (thank goodness) so off to Vegas we went!!! It was a whirlwind trip, but so much fun! Got to sit by the pool and relax and then watch my hubby sit at Margaritaville and drink on my birthday while I sipped on tastey water!! but I'll have my turn again soon! We stayed at an awesome new hotel, Aria at City Center and it was perfect!! I would reccommend it to anyone going to Vegas! I even got chocolate covered strawberries sent to our room!! Love my wonderful man for a perfect Birthday trip~~

My New Hobby!
Since I found out that our new addition is going to be a girl, and I KNOW we will go broke with cute girl things, I decided to try my hand at crafts!! I think I did a pretty good job with my first attempt at Bow making!! Maybe I can get creative and add more things, but for now, I am pretty impressed with my handy work.

Summer and NEWS!!
ok, so I started my blog before school was out for the summer, and now its time to get busy updating!!
Our lives get so busy during the summer, but we always try to spend our weekends at the lake and Memorial Weekend is the best way to start! We spent the beautiful weekend with our friends the Beard's!! My wonderful friend Christin, her husband Rob, and their sons, Carter and Preston! Reid and Carter are only 3 months apart and had the best time! Pictures down below!!
Then during the first week of vacation, me and Reid hit the waterpark 2 times and are planning more this week!! I am so glad Reid is a water baby because I don't know what we would do without the waterpark and lake!
Finally, on to our new addition....Back in mid-May, I went down to our friend Camie's in Denton to get a peek at our little one...and we thougt it was a Boy....Well, went in for my 18 week sonogram today and it is 99% a GIRL!! wow...still quite shocked!! I think our family is complete, with one Wonderful Boy - Reid and now his sweet baby Sister!! so, shocked we are, but excited to plan for our new addition coming in November!

And the countdown begins!! (or ends..)
11 Days, yes only 11 school days left until my Summer Vacation starts! I have to say that if I was not a teacher, I would want to stay at home all the time!! I love having my time with my little man!
Since this is my first attempt at blogging, I will try to catch some of you up to speed! And I promise I will post pictures as soon as I can!
This year has been full...of what?? EVERYTHING!!
I started a new job at the beginning of the school year, made the BIG jump to teach in Burkburnett, I figured that we lived here, it only made sense! I am so happy with my job!! I now teach High School Special Education and would not change it for the world! Going from Elementary to High School, I thought I was going to have a tough time adjusting, but the kids are wonderful!
2009 - I have to say was not my year - lots of changes in our lives and a fall that was heard around the world..or so I thought! Back in November, I was decorating the Christmas tree, standing on a stool and as I am putting the finishing touches on, the stool cracked underneath me, and I guess I thought I could catch myself with my hand...well I was wrong!! That fall landed me a trip to the ER and a cast for 5 weeks!! And now every time we talk about climbling up on something, Reid always has to remind mommy that I hurt my arm and we are not allowed to stand on stools, just ladders with daddy watching!
2010 - started off with a BANG!! thanks to my wonderful husband! We have always wanted to go to Vegas for New Year's and finally got the opportunity to go this year!! Not only did we get to see the fireworks from the top of Mandalay Bay, but Joey took me to go see the Black Eyed Peas!!! What a way to start off the new year and start fresh for my journey into my 30's~! (only one more month by the way)
Now with school ending and the summer coming close, I have so much to be thankful for and look forward to! Lake season is beginning and Reid is asking when we can go there and to the water park, then we have a trip planned to FL for a wedding and Disney World to see where Mickey lives!...we are sure going to be busy this summer, but not as busy as we are going to be in November -
Reid's baby brother or sister will be joining our family and we couldn't be more excited!!!
There sure are a lot of countdowns this summer to look forward to!!
