Every year, our local photography studio will take free photos of your kids on Halloween if you bring in can goods for the food bank - we love to go and the kids always do so well!!

Pumpkins

These are just a few of the pumpkins that we painted this fall and these kids were so excited to buy, paint, and decorate all the pumpkins....

My Sweet Babies

I know I always refer to my kids as my babies, but to me, they will always be my babies.  I love how much they are growing up and becoming their own personalities and I love catching them in their own element.  Of course Maren has to do everything that her big brother does and she loves him so much! Reid does get offended that she will not give him hugs when he wants, but I tell him that by her mimicking what he does, that is her way of showing him that she loves him.

Recently, Reid's school had a book fair and oh goodness, did I get dragged into buying books for this big boy! Anything for my babies, right?

Here of course Maren has to be just like big brother and read her books as well.

He loves her so much!

These are just some random faces of my babies...I cherish each and everyone of their smiles!!

Maren needs an apron, so needless to say, she chose the tutu - I think it's the right fit.

My handsome man looks so grown up!

State Fair of Texas

Every year, we like to take Reid and Maren to the State Fair of Texas.  We always ride the sky cars and love to visit the dogs show and see all the great events.
Every year, Reid has started riding this Super Slide, it scares me to death that he walks up to the top on his own, but he loves it so much and looks forward to it!

We always love to see what the Pumpkin Carver has in store for us, and this year, the Lorax was a huge hit for my kids!

(This is before his little accident - if you are from Texas, then you know poor Big Tex caught on fire this year)

It was a little chilly out that day, but man were these kids troopers!!

International Friendship Oktoberfest

As part of the Junior League, I am on the International Friendship Committee which interacts with the German squadron on the air force base in town.  We were invited to partake in their annual Oktoberfest, and this was our first experience and will surely not be our last!! What a great time, and amazing people!

Bulldogs

We love our Burkburnett Bulldog Football!! We live in a small town and the kids look forward to Friday night football! We have our stadium seats and season tickets in hand and love to hang out with our Bulldog Fans!
Maren has turned out to be a sports fan and loves the Bulldogs! She gets so excited to see the mascots walking around and loves to see the guys throwing the football in the air!
One of the things I miss about teaching at the High School here in Burk is seeing all the kids!! Thankfully I still know a few kiddos and love seeing them as the school mascot and giving us photo ops!

6th Birthday

I cannot believe that my little baby boy is 6!! I still think of him as my little baby and he always has to inform me that he is NOT a baby - I tell him I know this, but to me he will always be my baby boy!
This year finding our party venue was pretty easy, since last year we had booked the swimming pool but got a party cancelled due to thunder and lightning.  Well, we had the deposit and party already paid for and they let us keep it until this year - but here came our problem...IT WAS RAINING AGAIN!!! We could not believe it! But, the awesome news was that is was just rain and now thunder and lightning that the kids could actually swim this year!  Reid had his heart set on Power Rangers, so that is what he got!  He had a blast with all of his friends and family who came!!

(Please slow down growing up - mommy is not ready for this)

Busy Weekend

This past Friday, Cha Cha came up to celebrate Grandparents day with Reid at school, so we hopped in the car and drove back home with her knowing Joey would follow behind us on Saturday to celebrate some dear friends departure to Virginia.
Cha Cha's house is always a blast, and Friday's is their weekly Happy Hour with neighbors, so the kids and I went down to visit.  It was still HOT out at the time and so the kids went swimming and did not want to leave come bedtime!
Saturday, the wind was coming in and it was such a beautiful day, Cha Cha and I took the kids to the school playground near her house.

We drove home late Saturday night after our friends good-bye to do chores around the house on Sunday.  Maren had so much fun watching Daddy wash off his truck - it's amazing what can entertain a little girl.

Once Maren went down for a nap, Reid and I went grocery shopping, and I guess he was pretty wore out, because as soon as we got in the car to head home, this is what I turned around to find!  I have so many pictures of this little man over the years in this exact position!! He was so worn out!

Shopping Buddy

Usually it is Reid who goes to the grocery store with me and has to push a little cart - but this time Maren proved she could do a fabulous job!! She pushed it like a pro and didn't run and even knew where to return it to when we were finished!! She is growing up too fast!

She is so excited to be a big girl!!

I just love this picture how my camera focused on her and the background was blurry...
